Job Description

You will be responsible for creating user experiences for our software, and proactively reaching out to cross-functional teams to influence intuitive user interfaces aligned with our brand identity.

About Ink

Ink is an innovative IT company based in sunny Alicante, Spain. The company's diverse product portfolio delivers Passenger Service technology for the travel industry across three channels - Desktop, Mobile and Self Service - from our Cloud Platform.

We provide mission-critical products and services to several international aviation clients and our systems have handled over 50 million passengers for over 100 airlines in airports all over the world.

Our team thrives on the adrenaline of competing against billion-dollar companies using our ingenuity and relying on our desire to out-innovate them.

Alongside existing development teams in Colombia and Serbia, we are growing our team in Spain. Come join us on that journey.

Job Responsibilities

• Bring static graphic designs to life with additional clear, logical interactions. This is more than just mirroring the static designs provided by designers.
• Transform written requirements into wireframes, working with project managers during the elaboration process when the full solution is not known. The client and    members of other teams often need to be guided by your expertise.
• Port project managers' rough wireframes into Figma, which may be originally sketched or done in non-technical applications.
• Transform rough wireframes into functional (not just basic) prototypes in Figma with logical flows independent of design.
• Understand and positively influence others in Ink to improve their contribution to the overall UX. This goes beyond arranging UI elements.
• Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and motivations.
• Develop user personas, user flows and wireframes to communicate design concepts.
• Design and iterate user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of Figma prototypes.
• Work with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.
• Test UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, flows, and targets for landing pages.
• Stay current with industry trends and UI/UX best practices but not be constrained by them.
• Be excited to work with 3D AI avatars, VR and mixed reality in future projects.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
• Be personable to influence the thought process of colleagues to improve appreciation of UX
• Enthusiastic, upbeat personality with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Be passionate about making the usability of our solutions the best in the industry.
• Communicate with users and focus groups on assessing and improving the implemented UX.
• Work with developers, project managers, a Creative Director, users, and customers to understand the nature of the problem and periphery challenges, not just the text    of a task.
• Define the experience of using our self-service hardware devices.
• Be your own harshest critic and consider external critique in context.
• Compile mood boards to learn and get inspiration from work that others have done.
• Organising and managing a comprehensive Design System within Figma
• Knowledge or expertise in Flutterflow is a major bonus.
• Use the knowledge you gain from training to improve your work and pass it on to others.
• Experience working on advanced websites is a bonus.
• Motion graphics skills will be a bonus.
• Familiarity with designing for visually impaired users.
• Refer to past professional UI/UX work that you have done on web and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma.
• Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
• Strong visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, attention to detail and consistency
• Experience with responsive design and designing for multiple devices.
• Ability to think creatively and solve complex design problems.
• Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise your own workload.

What to Expect

• A minimum of 3 years of UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
• Working hours are usually 9/10 am to 5/6 pm, although we believe in work-life balance and accommodate more flexible working - we offer working from home on Fridays.
• The environment is dynamic, collaborative, multicultural and fast-paced.
• Working at the cutting edge of new technology, you become part of a team pushing to innovate platforms beyond industry trends.
• A competitive salary is offered based on experience.
• We support the professional growth of our employees.
