Flashback to AviaDev 2022
To understand better the value that AviaDev brings to the attendees, let's take a quick trip down memory lane and revisit the highlights from last year's edition.
One of the event's highlights was the panel session on implementing practical technology to propel African aviation. The industry is ripe for modernisation, but the key obstacle is the high cost. Blaine Powell, CSO at Ink, emphasised the need for vendors to offer technology that is accessible and can save money in the long run.
'From our perspective, it is about bringing innovation into people’s hands, and to do that is to make it accessible. It is about democratising technology.'

While stressing the need for migrating away from obsolete and unreliable infrastructure, Blaine suggested that a cloud-based approach and embracing mobile technology are the answers to the heavy cost challenge.
