We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester to join our team responsible for testing our Airline Departure Control System. As a QA Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and usability of our web and mobile application, which is essential for managing various aspects of airline operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for the Airline Desktop Control System to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct both manual and automated testing to identify software defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and user stories, ensuring that testing aligns with business objectives.
  • Perform regression testing to validate software changes and updates while maintaining the integrity of existing functionalities.
  • Document test results, track defects, and work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of testing frameworks, tools, and processes to streamline QA activities and enhance efficiency.
  • Conduct compatibility testing across different operating systems, browsers, and devices to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in software testing to continuously improve testing methodologies.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field however not essential.
  • Proven experience working as a QA Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer, preferably in the airline industry or with complex web and mobile applications.
  • Experience manually testing APIs, mobile, and Web applications.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases, test scenarios and test scripts.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of airline operations, flight management systems, or related aviation software is an advantage.
