Ink Innovation has completed Phase II of Cloud Shopper, Marabu Airlines' online check-in platform, with the successful deployment of Release 3.

Work on Cloud Shopper began in June 2024, with Phase I delivering the core online check-in journey, seat selection, and AI-driven pricing for ancillaries. Phase II built on that foundation across three iterative releases, meaningfully expanding what passengers can do before they reach the airport.

Passengers can now add cabin baggage, checked bags, and sports equipment directly within the check-in journey, with transparent pricing at every step. Payment is handled in the same flow, supporting cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Eligible Economy passengers are also presented with a cabin upgrade offer at check-in, with real-time availability logic determining whether an upgrade can be offered and at what price.

Passengers travelling on connecting or return flights within the same booking can complete check-in for both legs in a single session, selecting seats, adding checked baggage, cabin baggage, and sports equipment for each flight, all without switching flows. The seat map now visually distinguishes cabin classes, extra-legroom seats, and group seating, making it easier for passengers to understand their options and choose accordingly.

Boarding passes have been redesigned across PDF and wallet formats, with improved layout, clearer service information, and support for multi-leg itineraries. Distribution options now include WhatsApp alongside email, PDF download, and Apple and Google Wallet. Secondary travel document support, enhanced document handling, and eligibility for online check-in for standby passengers round out the passenger services expanded in this phase.

The capabilities developed through Cloud Shopper are built into Ink's platform and are available to airlines looking to move beyond basic web check-in. For carriers ready to turn the check-in touchpoint into a retail channel, handling ancillary sales, dynamic pricing, and payments in a single passenger-facing flow.
