Suriname β€” 27 August 2026 β€” Copa Airlines has completed certification on Ink Innovation's Common Use Passenger Processing System (Ink CUPPS) at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (JAPIA, PBM) in Para, Suriname.

The certification gives Copa full interoperability with the shared platform, deployed at JAPIA in partnership with Wintel N.V., Ink's exclusive local partner in Suriname. Copa joins Sky High Dominicana and FlyAllWays, both already live on the platform, with GOL, Caribbean Airlines, KLM, and Surinam Airways in the certification process.

Once certified, airlines gain access to shared check-in and boarding infrastructure across the terminal.

β€œWe used to run our own dedicated setup at JAPIA. With common use now in place, we're processing passengers roughly ten times faster.” – Gianni Klaiber, Ground Station Supervisor at Copa, JAPIA.
β€œAll the airlines at JAPIA are moving onto Ink CUPPS. Two are already live, and now Copa, one of the largest carriers we serve, has joined them. It's another step towards faster service for more of our passengers, through the common-use infrastructure we now have at the airport.” β€” Vijay Chotkan, CEO, Airport Management Ltd.

Wintel N.V.'s Aviation & Airport Systems division delivers certification and on-site support at JAPIA, working directly with airlines, Ink, and the airport throughout the process.Β
